Long Range Surveillance (LRS) (pronounced "lurse") are elite, specially-trained surveillance units of the United States Army employed for clandestine military operations by the Military Intelligence for gathering direct human intelligence information deep within enemy territory

-11B or 25C

-GT score of 100 or higher

-APFT 240 or higher

-ABN volunteer

-Ranger volunteer

-Eligible for Secret secruity clearance

“Top Tier” National Guard Units 
 
The NE LRS is made up of mostly Infantrymen and is not consitered a normal unit. The LRS trains on infantry tasks yet holds a more advanced and eliet mission set. The skills to conduct a LRS mission is much more than a normal Line Infantry unit.
